New York – Nov. 5, 2020 – (Clarity Times). It is shocking news for many followers and members of the Hillsong East Cost Church that the lead pastor Carl Lentz is fired from the church. In a statement sent to the members of the Hillsong Church East Coast, the global of the church, Brian Houston, advised the congregation that Pastor Carl Lentz is no longer with the church.
The decision to fire Pastor Carl Lentz comes after ongoing discussions in relation to leadership issues and breaches of trust, plus a recent revelation of moral failures according to the statement.
The statement continues that it would not be appropriate for them to go into detail about the events that led to the termination of Pastor Lentz; however, the fired pastor himself reveals on his Instagram account that he was unfaithful to his wife and his family.
In a lengthy statement, Carl Lentz, 41, states that “Our time at Hillsong NYC has come to an end. This is a hard ending to what has been the most amazing, impacting, and special chapter of our lives. Leading this church has been an honor in every sense of the word and it is impossible to articulate how much we have loved and will always love the amazing people in this church.…….I was unfaithful in my marriage, the most important relationship in my life and held accountable for that.”
Furthermore, Pastor Lentz says that the failure is on him and him alone and takes full responsibility for his actions.
Pastor Carl Lentz who led the Hillsong NYC with his wife for more than 10 years is known for his fashion style and for ministering to several celebrities including Justin Bieber. It is reported that the Canadian singer once lived with Carl Lentz for about a month before he was baptized.
