Why did Haitian Rapper Izolan Get Arrested?

Port-Au-Prince, Haiti (Clarity Times) Haitian Rapper and businessman Léonard Tout-Puissant also known as Izolan get arrested at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.

The rapper was boarding an airplane to go to the Dominican Republic. After being interrogated by the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) about the purpose of his visit to the DR and his relationship with the group Fantom 509, he was later released. According to the rapper, he was not subjected to any ill-treatment during the interrogation process,

Izolan is one among those who have been calling for the departure of Jovenel Moise for several years. He is also a good friend of former Port-Au-Prince’s mayor Ralph Youri Chévry. The latter is now in jail in the Dominican Republic on an international warrant from the Haitian government. He is seeking refugee status to avoid been extradited to Haiti.
